What I Usually Eat When Not In The Mood For Smoothies

Typically, my day starts with a smoothie but somedays I'm just NOT into it! Here I'm sharing what eat on those days!

Oh hi, good morning!

As you know my breakfast usually consists of a smoothie. I’m just not a big eater in the morning, and by having a smoothie I can add tons of greens, some of my fav fruits and protein powders.

But sometimes I wake up wanting a little something more, and that’s when I switch it up to a plant-based yogurt.

In the morning I make it a point to also take my Omegas & Vitamin D (I take Nature Made® Burp-Less Ultra Omega-3 & Nature Made® Vitamin D3 125mcg) that I get at Walmart… Oh, and by the way, they have a new look now. It was a decision made by Nature Made to contemporize, make stand out on the shelf, and help us find the products we want faster and easier.

Nature Made® products are now in a yellow-colored cap versus blue with a newly updated label. So, when you go looking for them make sure to look for the yellow cap so you don’t end up doing infinite laps around Walmart, Lol. They kept the key design elements that you and I usually identify with the brand (yellow color, green leaves, and brown bottle). Just know that you can find them at the vitamin aisle where they have always been located.

Important to note that this new look (updated label) is exclusive for Walmart, and Walmart’s Website so you won’t find them anywhere else.

Now, Back To My Breakfast

So as I was saying, somedays I wake up wanting a little something more than a smoothie. That’s when I whip up a plant-based yogurt (make sure is sugar-free, you would be surprised how much sugar some yogurts contain!), and add:

  • Some berries (I usually do strawberries, raspberries or blueberries but you can add the ones you like!)
  • Fiber bran to make sure I get that good dose of fiber
  • A tablespoon of almond butter (make sure your almond butter is just one ingredient: ALMONDS! no sugar, added oils, nada. The simple, the better)

And that’s it, it holds me up pretty well, and cover all my basis of protein (yogurt), fiber (fruits & fiber bran) & good fats (almond butter). Yum, yum, yum!
