Remember how I told you all about Free Ride Day a few weeks ago? More than 25,000 free rides were enjoyed and people rode 65,000 miles! I love how Healthfirst continues to help and pour support into NYC communities with great initiatives like this. If you didn’t know, let me be the one to share this info with you, especially if it will help you stay active, have fun and facilitate your life. I find Citi Bikes are a faster and more active transportation option that’s perfect for getting to work or school, running errands, attending social events, and connecting to other forms of transit – saving both time and money.
As a holistic health & wellness coach, one of my passions is making health & wellness ACCESSIBLE so anybody can have access to information, services, and activities that support their overall wellbeing, no matter their income. That’s why I loved working with Healthfirst to share this good news with you.
Sharing is caring! The Reduced Fare Bike Share program from Healthfirst offers a $5.00 per month Citi Bike membership to New Yorkers that are New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) residents & Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP/food stamp) recipients. NYCHA residents & qualifying SNAP/food stamp recipients 16 years and older are eligible for a discounted membership of only $5 per month. This is such an amazing initiative, and more than 7,000 people have taken advantage of the benefits from the ‘Reduced Fare Bike Share’ program this year, presented by Healthfirst. This is great news for New York, you guys 🙂
This is the type of initiative and companies I like to see and support!
