Here we are again, talking about taboo topics. You know I love me some controversial ones, especially since there’s so much misinformation out there. But why the hell is talking about our VAGINAS a taboo (still) in this age and time???
Because of my upcoming V(agina) Glow Masterclass, (this Thursday, Feb. 21st 7:30 pm) I’ve been talking a LOT about vaginas with YOU my girls over at my Instagram [I swear to God my #CandyGlowSquad girls are the craziest!] and the question about vagina steaming has come up A LOT.

What’s Vagina Steaming? Give us all the deets!
Vaginal Steaming is an ancient practice used all around the world, which incorporates herbs and steam to heal and detoxify the womb and was originally used as a postpartum practice.
WHY should we do the Vagina Steaming? What are the benefits… convince us
Wow! This is such a robust question because there are endless benefits with steaming. I like to envelop it by saying it is beneficial to EVERYONE who has a vagina because it literally has the ability to address ANY and EVERY reproductive/gynecological issue. These benefits range from regulating menstruation, addressing symptoms of fibroids, endometriosis, and PCOS, recurring infections, fertility complications, vaginal dryness, and much more.
Why do you think women still feel this is a taboo topic? I mean, more and more we’ve seen how women out there are talking about it (like my BFF in my mind, Chrissy Teigen! Lol)

I think women in the western world still find steaming taboo more than any other and I believe there are varying reasons. The main, however, is we are taught that traditional, modern medicine is the best and right way to heal. This one bothers me the most because it is really only about 50-60 years old and its current central tenet is not health, but profit.
Medicine around the world still incorporates and centralize their practice around ancient medicine. Yet, we are the sickest, most unhealthy, and have the shortest lifespan. The other is because as women, although evolving, are taught to be ashamed of our bodies, but more specifically our vagina. So anything that doesn’t fall within the scope of what modern medicine and patriarchy say, isn’t considered scientifically possible or can’t be proven and then consider it anecdotal and fluff.
What’s your own experience with Vagina Steaming?
It is one of the most relaxing things ever. It has even made sex more pleasurable. Your partner will tell the difference as well. I PROMISE!
I’ve had clients email me and tell me about their experiences post steaming. Also, I think my most favorite experience is the birth of a client’s baby. She came to me because she had been trying over a year with her husband to conceive and was becoming frustrated. During our consult, we discussed lifestyle and medical factors, but everything seemed to check well, so steaming was her next resort. They both had children from previous relationships but wanted one together. This solidified my belief in what many would like to call “anecdotal”.
Why did you decided to become a specialist in this area?
It was truly by accident. Like, who wakes up one day and says they want to steam vaginas? When I became a Reproductive Health & Wellness Coach, I never considered becoming a steam practitioner, but I am a researcher by nature. I love doing research on things I become obsessed with. That’s kind of how I became a coach after reversing a lot of my personal health issues.
One of the things that kept appearing in my research was steaming and so I the next thing to do was dive into herbalism. I tried it on myself, mom, sister, and a couple of friends first before I decided to extend it to others. I thought it would be a great addition and complement for my coaching clients.
