How I’m Eating My Waffles Lately

Waffles have become my go-to for those days I need a little more sustenance than what my regular smoothie will provide. Here I'm sharing how I'm eating them lately!

Trying to spice things up a little bit for my breakfast, waffles have become definitely a thing especially for those days I need a little more sustenance than what my regular smoothie will provide.

My career and business are demanding so much more from me than a year ago, so my mornings are not as relaxed as they used to and I need quick options that still meet my wellness goals. So lately I’ve been having Van’s® Power Grains® Original Waffles.

Here’s the thing though… I’ve been changing things up by cutting them into easy to bite strips but keeping my favorite usual suspects as toppings.

This time around I’m using: pomegranate arils, 85% cacao chocolate chips, almond butter, and a drizzle of maple syrup (optional).

What I LOVE about Van’s Power Grains® Waffles is that they are so nutritious and delicious + (a non-negotiable for me) they’re also Non-GMO Project Verified, no artificial flavors, and made with nutritious grains like cracked red wheat, steel cut oats, millet and brown rice. With options like Organic and Gluten Free also, what’s not to love?!

Ok then, here’s the very simple recipe for my morning waffles:

Quick Morning Waffles

Ingredients

  • 2 Van’s® Power Grains® Waffles (use the ones you prefer from the Van's line. I'm using the Original Waffles)
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate arils
  • 1 tablespoon 85% cacao chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)
  • Sprinkled cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the waffles as per the instruction in the box.
  2. Once cooked, cut them in strips.
  3. Place the strips in a bowl as a side for the pomegranate arils, chocolate chips & almond butter.
  4. Enjoy!

So simple, yet yummy. Right?

I’m also loving their Gluten Free Crackers, more specifically the Gluten-Free The Perfect 10® Crackers which are baked with oats, brown rice, millet, quinoa, and amaranth. So, so yummy!

If you’re wondering WHERE you can get them, you’re in luck because you can get them pretty much in every supermarket. But just to make sure, you can visit their website and use your zip code to find the nearest location to you where you can find them.
