3 Smart Lifestyle Improvements I’m Implementing This Year

I made the conscious decision of approaching life in a “smarter” way, focusing on the core feelings I want to experience. Here I'm sharing 3 smart lifestyle improvements I'm implementing this year to achieve that!

Well… hi!

As we get closer to wrapping up our first quarter of the year (can you believe that?!) I was doing some reflection on how I am approaching things lately. At the end of last year, I made the conscious decision of approaching life in a “smarter” way.

Instead of obsessing over perfection, I am now focusing more on the core feelings I want to experience. I’m focusing more on “smart” ways to achieve my goals, while still maintaining the focus on my main objectives.

When you have a type A personality —like me, it’s hard to not over-obsess with the tiny details. I’m here to tell you, girl, it’s possible! If I’m doing it, you can do it, too Lol

Let me share with you 3 Smart Lifestyle Improvements I’m Implementing This Year

When it comes to reading more books

I have come to terms with the fact that I don’t have as much free time as I had before. My career has grown exponentially the past 2 years, lots of meetings, flights, content creation, managing my business, etc… and I was slacking HARD when it came to my book list.

So I gave audio-books a chance, and was instantly hooked! Now, I listen to my books while I exercise, commute in between meetings, travel, or simply while I’m winding down at night.

When it comes to my Vitamin C needs

In the past, I paid very little attention to my Vitamin C needs. After a horrendous experience with the flu last year that took me out of service for what it felt like a gazillion years (really, it took me like 2 months to feel like “me” again urrrg)… anyways, after this episode with the flu, I started to be more intentional with my Vitamin C intake.

Vitamin C is commonly associated with helping maintain a healthy immune system and is abundant in 100% orange juice.

That’s why I loved doing this blog in collaboration with Indian River Select® Brand because their Orange Juice is a super yummy way to meet my daily Vitamin C needs and not feel like I have to take a ton of supplements instead.

One 8-ounce glass of Indian River Select® Brand Orange or Grapefruit Juice provides more than 100% of the recommended daily value of vitamin C. Their juices are 100% natural, with NO added sugars, and made with only one ingredient; Orange or Grapefruit… what’s not to love?

When it comes to exercising

In the past, I was adamant on exercising ONLY when I had a gym available. If I didn’t have one, I wouldn’t exercise. But girl, life gets to you FAST!

I now try to do “smart” little choices (trust me… they have a compounding effect that always amounts to something far greater than I imagined). So now, I squeeze a workout any way I can, and any time I can.

I love using workout apps while I travel, and I always take with me training bands and a jumping rope that way I can do a few sets even in a small room. Youtube has tons of free 15 – 20 mins workouts that are really amazing… and lastly, if everything else fails, a good old stroll with a fast pace around the block always does the trick.

I told you, I’m getting my exercise any way I can!

Now it’s your turn… are you doing some “smart” changes to make your life easier?
