Ok, so who’s got time to be slaving in the kitchen making a 12-hour breakfast?
You guys know I like my food with this no-fail equation: Yummy – Nutritious – Easy.
And I know you do too because those type of recipes are the ones you guys request of me ALL the time, and those are the ones that get more love on my Instagram as well. When it comes to breakfast, I need to be in and out of the kitchen pronto… like, in 3-minutes-pronto. Not only because I can be lazy in the mornings (I am!), but because my mornings are packed, and I need to be able to maximize my time.
Nobody got time to research recipes, prep, buy, measure and blend before work… period.
I’m not a big eater in the morning anyway, so typically I’ll have either a smoothie or overnight oats for breakfast.
Lately, I’ve been super into oats!
I’ve noticed that when I have oats in the morning I stay satiated longer and fewer cravings during the day… they are filling, so yummy and to top it all, one of the healthiest food ever.
But I have a little secret 🙂
I’ve been obsessing SPECIFICALLY over the Daily Harvest activated oats.

Let’s go back to my lazy/busy breakfast option #1: Oats
- Help to lower cholesterol
- Reduce risk of cardiovascular levels
- Stabilizes blood sugar (super important!)
- Substantially lowers type 2 diabetes risk
- Fiber, fiber, fiber… which means more regular bathroom trips and that always awesome!
Before going to bed, I just add almond milk to the package and put it back in the refrigerator. In the morning my breakfast was ready for me when I got out of bed. It doesn’t get easier than that!
Oh lordy, where to begin with this? again, 3 minutes, no brainer… just add liquid, blend and you’re out the door!
My favorite ever is the Chocolate + Blueberry, because besides tasting AMAZING, it has one of my favorite sexy adaptogen —Maca— which if you’ve been following me for a while, you know it’s called “Nature’s Viagra” and let’s just say that the hype is real Lol Maca is amazing to boost your libido and increase endurance. Helps to balances hormones and increases fertility and boost energy levels. This miracle root is also ideal for those who wish to boost their mental energy and focus.
Here’s the basic recipe for the Chocolate + Blueberry Smoothie
- 1/2 cup Blueberries
- 1/2 Banana
- 2 Tbsp Raw Almonds
- 1/2 cup spinach
- 1/2 cup kale
- 1/4 cup dates (I love this one)
- 1 tbsp cacao powder (I love this one)
- 1 tsp vanilla bean (I love this one)
- A pinch of pink Himalayan sea salt (I love this one)
- 1 tbsp Maca (I love this one)
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
Chia Parfait (Pudding)
The chia parfaits, or as I call them chia puddings, are ALL THAT!
Again, just add milk of your choice, let it be for a few minutes until the chia absorbs the liquid and you’re ready to go.
My favorite of all the options is this one in the pic, Mango + Golden Milk… OMG!
It’s a blend of organic mango and pineapple, ginger and turmeric (no surprise here, you guys know I’m obsessed with turmeric!), whose anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects make it one of the most powerful spices at combatting disease, lowering cholesterol and regulating blood pressure. The mix also has some hemp seed, cardamom, nutmeg, cloves, and pepper… they really outdid themselves with this one.
And there you have it, breakfast options under 3 minutes, that won’t break your bank, nutrition-packed and insanely delicious.
Now, I will go and pour some milk over my oats and go to bed, excited because I know tomorrow they’ll be ready waiting for me.
