Ok, so I’ve written plenty of posts sharing how to get over the flu in a natural —more holistic way. But I want to dig a little deeper and share 3 tips that I do ALL THE TIME, that may help PREVENT. Because let’s face it, having the flu is the worst ever. Urrrggg
So for me, prevention is KEY. And I find these tips to be so easy, and to be honest very common sense when it’s Flu season.

3 Easy Tips To Prevent The Flu Like A Pro
1. Vitamin C
Making sure you meet your daily dose of Vitamin C is one of my safest bets when it comes to staying faaaaar away from the flu as possible. Vitamin C is commonly associated with helping maintain a healthy immune system and is abundant in 100% orange juice.

2. Mix Your Orange Juice with Ginger!

Here’s a little concoction I do all the time, and I’m sure you’re going to love too…
- 2 Onz Indian River Select Orange Juice (you can also use Grapefruit if you want)
- 1 Tablespoon grated ginger
- Grate the ginger ver thinly.
- Mix well with the orange juice.
- Drink up everyday in the AM, or as an afternoon pick me up!

3. Always Wash Your Hands!
Common sense, right? Not that fast!
One of the main ways we can get in contact with the Flu Virus is by —ewww— touching a surface that’s been contaminated. That door handle you just touched, pen your friend just lent you, or (for heaven’s sake!) that supermarket store cart you just used… It likely has flu germs on it.
Super gross fact: Germs can live on any surface for two hours or more. If someone in your office, gym, or whatever is infected, those germs can reside on anything they’ve touched (desks, phones, gym weights, cafeteria tables, books).
So wash your hands often, and do it right… Use soap and warm water, and rub your hands for 15 to 20 seconds, then dry with a clean paper towel or air dryer (I prefer this!).
