Daily & Weekend Clean Beauty Routine

Come along as I show you step by step my skin care routine, using ONLY clean beauty & chemical-free products. Good for my skin and my health!

Slowly but surely I’ve been transitioning all my skin care and makeup products to cleaner brands. Brands that ensures me they are not only chemical free and organic but also cruelty-free.

I’ve been VERY intentional about this, as I mentioned in this post a few months ago.

Our skin is our biggest organ, but for some reason, we pay more attention to what we eat, but not to what we put ON our body? Crazy, right?!

So the other day when I shared my weekend routine on my Insta-Stories and you girls blew up my DM’s Lol, then I KNEW I had to give you all the juicy details of my routine, including the high-frequency wand (What the h*ck is that?!) which I’ve been using for years now.

Daily Routine

I’m a big fan of less is more (makeup Youtubers please don’t hate me!)… we are supposed to let our skin breathe, and glow from the inside out with the nutrients we get from our food + a VERY good, natural supplement as insurance because I know life gets in the middle (more about my fav below).

And since I work from home most of the time, I can get away with not wearing makeup, save any meeting, or event I’m attending… Phew! So these are the ones I’m using right now (AM & PM) and are working like a charm!

AM

** Find your balance oil control cleanser by Ole Henriksen **
I start every morning by washing my face with COLD water and this gel. Love it because it helps to keep the oil in check, without being harsh on my skin.

** GREEN APPLE Brightening Essence by Juice Beauty **
Follow right after with this product, which is like a toner but on steroids! I’m so obsessed…  It has definitely gotten my skin brighter, and more luminous. I dare to say that even has helped with the overall texture!

** Truth Serum by Ole Henriksen **
This is a morning serum, full of Vitamin C which is CRUCIAL, for bright skin, prevent wrinkles and that badass JLo glow (YES PLZ!)… Love it because is lightweight and it doesn’t make my skin shiny (yuck!) nor interfere if I need to put on makeup. It’s specially made for AM time.

** Daycream by Acure*
They had me at Chlorella! This cream is also made for AM routines, has chlorella in the ingredients and again, super light weight + I personally feel this one gives me a tight look on my face, which is always a-w-e-s-0-m-e! I also love this brand because it has all the punches (quality-effectiveness-price or as you would say in Spanish “bueno, bonito & barato” Lol nothing can beat that! Lol).

PM

** Find your balance oil control cleanser by Ole Henriksen **
** GREEN APPLE Brightening Essence by Juice Beauty **

** Invigorating Night Transformation Gel by Ole Henriksen **
Can you tell I’m obsessed with serums? Ja, I think they are a woman’s best friend when it comes to aging prevention. This one is awesome and I like it so far because WOC like me (brown skin) tend to develop uneven skin tones and this has helped TONS to even my skin tone and reduce fine lines and ahem… wrinkles + did I mention is 100% vegan? WIN!

** Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer by Ole Henriksen **
This is the follow-up step to the serum above, and I wanted to give it a try as a combo because I’m told they work better together. So far so good, I really feel like this is a very rich cream so I don’t use it every night since my skin is more on the oily side, but so far, so good!

** Eye Brightening & Contour Gel by Acure **
This gel contains seaweed and hibiscus extract which are amazing to hydrate the delicate eye area. It feels super cooling once you put it on… Again, this brand is an all around winner for me, certified organic and good prices!

Why You Need a BADASS Supplement Too!

Come along as I show you step by step my skin care routine, using ONLY clean beauty & chemical-free products. Good for my skin and my health!

I ALWAYS have a god-awesome-kickass supplement to help my skin shine and get that extra JLo glow, because sometimes life gets in the middle and diet alone cannot do it. I found that with Ritual Vitamins, which is a multi-vitamin created SPECIFICALLY for us women because let’s be honest, we ARE special and have special needs, our supplements should not be any different.

Yes, I’ve tried TONS of supplements, it’s my job to try them, so you don’t have to…

I’m like your own guinea pig Lol

But truth is, I find Ritual highly effective, and honestly haven’t found yet another set of vitamins with higher quality ingredients and nomenclature that speaks to my needs as a woman in the way Ritual does. PLUS, I only need to take 2 pills daily (who has time to be drinking tons of pills 4-5 times a day? Not me! I love that they are natural, and free of dyes, additives, and colorings.

“The Wand”

Come along as I show you step by step my skin care routine, using ONLY clean beauty & chemical-free products. Good for my skin and my health!

No, I’m not talking about Harry Potter’s wand, although that would work just fine! Lol

Every weekend I have my “Deep” skin care routine, which includes a good ‘ol scrub + facial mask + ‘the wand’.

WTF is a High-Frequency Wand and Why do you use it anyway?

Excellent to kill bacteria that causes acne/breakouts whenever you see one coming (in my case every time I’m about to get my period, urrrg!) + helps tighten the skin, fights puffiness, prevent wrinkles, reduce acne dark spots, etc, etc, etc.

Oh, and it also helps TONS with lymph activity which is crucial for good health and one of the reasons I love Dry Brushing as I shared a few weeks ago.

I absolutely love it and can’t live without it! 🙂

Weekend Routine

** Chlorella Brightening Scrub by Acure **
Excellent to gently remove dead skin, restores cells and stimulates new cell growth. Again, loooove this brand because is Vegan, Sulfate Free, Paraben-Free, and Cruelty-Free!

** Activated Charcoal Face Mask by Rocky Mountain Essentials **
Charcoal is my best bet whenever I’m looking to detox my body in any way I can. My skin is no different and I love this brand because I feel it does exactly what it says it will do (fights acne, clears pores, and eliminates annoying blackheads. Ideal for oily and combination skin).

** High-Frequency Wand **
When doing the wand, I use this Aloe Vera Gel so the wand slides smoothly on my skin.

** Argan + Rose Oil by Acure **
It’s so luscious and rich, that I use it only a couple of times during the week and after deep routines over the weekend. This oil WORKS for me and so far has never made me breakout even though my skin is on the oilier side. A true skin super food. Argan has been showed to reduce the appearance lines, scars, stretch marks and imperfections; all while restoring texture, elasticity, and tone.

And of course, some variety of the products I use over the week.

I’m a skin care product’s junkie, what can I say?! Jajaja

But as with everything, I prefer to PREVENT than to have to go through the knife or face premature aging because I didn’t take care of this ONLY skin God gave me.

I try to change my routine every now and then, so my skin doesn’t get used to the same products… so I’ll keep you posted for new changes.

Which clean beauty products are you loving? Share, share and let’s all stalk each other’s beauty counters!

  1. Wow, you have provided a great list for weekday and weekend seperately. I seriously get too lazy on weekends I’ll try to incorporate your suggestions Thanks for sharing.

  2. Very informative, I had the impression that you must use either serum or cream, but not both at the same time! Currently I am using day cream and at night serum, so it looks like I’m missing some benefits. I don’t think I’ll go with the supplements… never been a fan of such things!

    • I guess then it depends on the brand! At least in my case, all the ones I’ve used clearly state that serum first, then follow with moisturizer… this brand is no different. On regards to supplements, I swear by them, and have seen LOTS of benefits and I try a LOT, it’s my work to try them (lots of crappy ones in the process) and see which ones work and which ones doesn’t. But I totally understand if it’s not your thing, I wish I could get everything I need from just food, but sometimes life gets in the way, so I always use my supplements and love the results, so I stick with whatever works for me 🙂

  3. Thanks for this list! I’m also a fan of less is more when it comes to make up and beauty products (please don’t hate me 😉

  4. That is a comprehensive list. You sure make our lives easier with all these routines.

  6. I just purchased the truth syrum and the invigorating night transformation gel. Thanks for the recommendations.
